The hotel had a lovely, cozy atmosphere with beautiful decorations. The common areas were easily accessible, making it convenient for senior people like myself to navigate. The hotel staff were attentive and always made sure we were comfortable.

I would have appreciated if the children working there could have provided more assistance with carrying luggage, especially for senior guests.

The Orchid Guest House in Townsville is exceptional. The interior is stunning, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and there are charming details everywhere. The wifi is reliable and the rooms have their own fridge and freezer. We initially planned to stay for 2 nights, but extended our stay to 4 because it's the best hostel we've ever experienced.

The morning meal could have been improved with more variety.

I loved that the owner was really nice and gave us a thorough explanation of everything at check-in. the bungalow was perfect for us as a group of 5 with everything we needed. the location is great, close to the city but still in a quiet area. Plus, it's conveniently close to castle hill.

They provided a free pick-up service. The place had a picnic area and a garden with BBQ facilities, perfect for a gourmet meal. , they gave me complimentary bottled water, because who doesn't love tap water?

I had a lovely stay at this guesthouse, it felt like home away from home. the dorms were clean and cozy, with beds made weekly. the bathrooms were spotless and the shared kitchen, although a bit small, was well equipped. the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, just like a caring grandmother. I even had the chance to see some wildlife on site, like tree frogs and possums. It was a peaceful place, great for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere after 11pm.

Some fellow guests and personnel were not the most cheerful bunch.

The hotel provided comfortable beds and a good supply of hot water. It was conveniently located near cafes, a club, and a popular beach promenade. Plus, there were plenty of nearby amenities such as supermarkets.

The property did not live up to its advertisement as a two-bedroom accommodation. It had outdated interiors, limited natural lighting, and insufficient soundproofing.
